Life In Wood

We have found a collection of photos of really interesting  artworks. The artist is Livio De Marchi, who was born in Venezia, Italy. As a child he used to work on ornamental sculpture in the Venetian tradition in the workshop of  crafting. He studied art and drawing at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Venice.

At first he worked in marble, then bronze, and eventually in wood. However, his favourite material has always been wood. Wood gives him vitality which other materials do not.
