In 1996. the interesting acting troupe had been found in Havana. The main attribute of the ballet group is that all members are chubby! Group “Danza Voluminosa” staged few days before the show “Freddie, a woman who sings,” dedicated to the late Cuban singer Fredesvindi Garcia.

The show “Freddie, a woman who sings” is the latest production of the troupe founded by choreographer and dancer Juan Miguel Mas.

Miguel idea was to create a dance company which would gather all those performers who are having some all those who are different from default artists stereotype – from chubby to retired players.

First ballerina of this dance company Majlin Dasa has 280 pounds!

This exciting dance group, which has so far made three All-Night choreography and 30 short works, was the main theme of the Canadian documentary “Defying Gravity”.
